I have been trying to find out when William Vaughan died. He is the adopted son and step-son of John (Jacky) Vaughan, of Bolckow and Vaughan. Wm was born William Hughes, circa 1834 at Eccles, Lancashire, to William Hughes and his wife Ann (nee Poole, who was married (and widowed) three times - to Alexander Brown in 1830; to William Hughes in 1834; and to John Vaughan in 1838). I have been researching this family in an attempt to discover a relationship with my Griffiths ancestors, according to family stories.
